I still refuse to believe that the rams are as bad as they seem.  This week they fell to the seahawks, who are decimated by injury.  They have a bunch of no name receivers, a rookie tight end, and have a running back by committee.  This defense really has to look in the mirror and figure out what the heck they're doing.  They are getting beat time and again, and have given up 35+ points in each of it's first 3 games.  Something has got to happen.  I think it's time to start looking for another defensive coordinator.

On the other side of the ball Marc Bulger is being replaced by Trent Green for week 4.  I'm not sure how much this is going to help unless the offense can score 40+ points.  I understand that Bulger has underachieved so far this year, but it's fair to say that the only way your going to win is if the defense can hold down the other team to at least 20 points or under.  The Rams do have the offensive weapons with Stephen Jackson, Torry Holt, and even Randy McMichael, but they need that number 2 receiver to step up.  The Rams do have talent on both sides of the ball unlike some other "bad" teams.  Scott Linehan should be very worried and  I say if they get run over again next week, then he needs to get out of St Louis.

It seems as if losing is not the only problem the rams have right now.  The benching of Marc Bulger has caused quite a stir amongst the team.  Steven Jackson was quoted as saying that it was, "the wrong decision" regarding having Bulger put on the bench.  Bulger has yet to comment on his current situation, but sources say that he no longer wants to play for Scott Linehan.  With all the desperation moves Linehan is making this week, even if the Rams somehow pull off a victory this week, has he dug himself too deep of a hole to climb out of?

Suddenly it seems as though the Mets won't make the postseason yet again.  After winning again the Brewers now find themselves in the driver's seat and the Mets are on the outside looking in.  New York is now down 1 game in the wild card with 2 games left to play.  Although it's not a major collapse as it was last year, the Mets players have got to be saying "oh great, not again".  Everyone seemed to think that the Mets would be in the playoffs and not the Brewers, but Milwaukee will not go down without a fight.  Friday's game against the Marlins saw the Mets use 8, yes I said 8 different pitchers.  Aside from Johan Santana, who will be pitching Saturday's game on 3 days rest, no one else on that pitching staff can be counted on to go deep into a gam
